BJP SC Morcha condemns rape and murder of Vijayapura Dalit girl

Mysuru: More than 500 members of BJP SC Morcha staged a demonstration in front of the DC’s office here this morning in protest against the rape and murder of a minor Dalit girl in Vijayapura recently. The protesters, who marched in a procession from Maharaja’s College Grounds to the DC’s office, raised slogans against the Congress Government for failing to prevent atrocities against women. Addressing protesters near the DC’s office, former Minister and senior BJP leader V. Sreenivasa Prasad lashed out at the Siddharamaiah Government for failing to nab the culprits. Claiming that Law and Order had collapsed in the State, Prasad said that Home Minister Ramalinga Reddy had no control over the Department and crimes against women were increasing by the day. Urging the Government to bring the culprits to book, Prasad demanded stringent punishment for all those involved in the brutal killing of the minor Dalit girl.
