Mandya: Following the unearthing of attempt to grab 320-acre Government land worth Rs. 200 crore in Nagamangala taluk in the district, Deputy Commissioner Dr. C. Kumara has suspended all six officials named in the FIR on charges of the forging documents to illegally grant Government land to the beneficiaries, here yesterday.

As per the orders, the suspended officials include Second Division Assistants H.V. Satish, Gurumurthy and Vijay Kumar, Kanthapura Circle Village Assistant S. Yogesh, Shirastedars Ravi Shankar and Umesh.

It may be recalled that Upa Lokayukta Justice B. Veerappa had filed a suo motu case on Jan. 12 following which the Lokayukta sleuths led by Mandya Lokayukta SP Suresh Babu conducted raids on Jan. 13 at Nagamangala Taluk Office and on the offices and residences of the officials named in the case.

The sleuths arrested Second Division Assistants H.V. Satish and Gurumurthy, Kanthapura Circle Village Assistant S. Yogesh, Shirastedars Ravi Shankar and Umesh. They were produced before the Court and were remanded to judicial custody.
