Mysuru: As part of World No Tobacco Day, Bharath Hospital and Institute of Oncology (BHIO), in association with Merck Specialities Pvt. Ltd., recently launched ‘Two-Minute Action for Oral Cancer Protection’ campaign with the hashtag #ActAgainstOralCancer.

This nationwide campaign encourages individuals to perform a quick self-check using a mirror. People are urged to look out for warning signs such as white or red patches, non-healing ulcers, persistent swelling, voice changes or unexplained bleeding. Just two minutes in front of a mirror can be life-saving. Strategic placement of mirrors in Hospital waiting areas will further encourage awareness and self-checks among patients.
