Inspiring batting performances by opener Ashish Patel (79, 102b, 12x4) and his valuable 75-run second-wicket partnership with Shlok Sandip Desai (52, 79b, 4x4) enabled Baroda to register a facile six-wicket win over hosts Karnataka in the BCCI Men's One-Day Tournament Plate 'A' match played at JSS-SJCE Grounds here, yesterday.
Batting first, Karnataka helped by some good batting by middle-order batsman Aman F. Khan (62, 73b, 3x4, 5x6) and Vishnu Priyan (52, 72b, 1x4, 1x6) who added 51-runs for the fifth wicket, scored 221 for eight in 50 overs. In reply, Baroda scored 223 for four in 49.2 overs and registered a six-wicket win.
