Germany: Former State champion from Mysuru Y.G. Vijayeendra, representing India in the Bavaria Donau Cup 2018 Open Chess Tourney in Regensburg, Germany, on Friday won his third round game against Hehn Hartmut (2034) and is in the joint lead with Huber Florian with three points each from three rounds. Six players are tied with 2.5 points each and are placed from third to eighth respectively. In the first round, Vijayeendra (2122) beat Lutz Speer (1627) and in the second round had a good win over Alexander Lie (1820). In the fourth round, Vijayeendra meets Huber Florian (1863) on Saturday.
