Mysuru: The forthcoming Assembly elections will throw up interesting permutations and combinations. And the combinations might include political parties putting up dummy candidates to ensure the victory of other ‘powerful’ candidates put up by ‘rival’ parties. These activities might once again prove the old adage that there are no permanent friends or permanent enemies in politics.
Take the prestigious T. Narasipur constituency for example. It is at present represented by Mysuru District Minister and CM Siddharamaiah’s close confidant Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa. While there are indications that Dr. Mahadevappa will contest from C.V. Raman Nagar in Bengaluru, his son Sunil Bose will try his luck from T. Narasipur. And since several months, Dr. Mahadevappa has been silently building a base for his son there.
