Bandipur receives first rainfall of the year

Bandipur forests, which witnessed massive loss of vegetation in the recent forest fires, received first rainfall of the year yesterday, much to the delight of the Forest Department, which had to battle a series of forest fires in recent days. The rainfall also brought down the soaring temperature in the forest region. Mudumalai and Masinagudi forests in Tamil Nadu have been receiving heavy rains since yesterday afternoon.
