B.R. Gopal (56), Assistant Agricultural Officer at Maddur Taluk Agriculture Department, passed away yesterday following heart attack. Gopal was ailing for sometime now and was admitted to a Hospital in Mysuru where he passed away after failing to respond to the treatment. A native of Byrapatna village in Channapatna taluk, Gopal leaves behind his wife Umadevi (Deputy Tahsildar at the DC’s office in Mandya), four children, colleagues and a host of relatives and friends. Last rites will be performed at his native place today.
