B.M. Nagesh was elected as the President of Jayachamaraja Wadiyar Golf Club (JWGC) for the year 2017-18 during the election held at the club premises yesterday. V.G. Achar was elected as the Secretary unanimously. B.M. Nagesh polled 469 votes while his rival G. Narasimhamurthy secured 258 votes. Dr. Venkatesh Joshi was elected as Captain securing 231 votes and Dr. S. Prasanna Shankar was elected as the Treasurer polling in 383 votes. S.N. Hemanth (454 votes), Ravindra Reddy (429 votes) and B.M. Prakash (424 votes) were elected to the three players committee posts while, Thimmappagowda (431 votes), M.S. Yeshwanth (419 votes) and Dr. Anil Thomas (392 votes) won were elected as non-playing committee members
