Mysuru: Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Ashwini Kumar Choubey said that about 1.5 lakh people have benefited from the ambitious Ayushman Bharat healthcare scheme within the first month of its launch. “The whole world has appreciated the scheme of Narendra Modi Government,” he said.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi in September last year had rolled out the Ayushman Bharat - Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY), touted as the world’s largest healthcare scheme. The insurance scheme provides an annual health cover of Rs.5 lakh per family for secondary and tertiary care hospitalisation.
