Mysuru: A Public Awareness Camp on ‘Groundwater’ has been organised on Dec.4 at 10 am at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in Doddamaragowdanahalli in Mysuru taluk. The camp is to create awareness on groundwater conservation, usage, re-usage, prevention and control and also to bring about an awareness on prevention of children falling into abandoned borewells. DC D. Randeep, who is also the District Groundwater Committee President, will preside and release a booklet. ZP Member Beerihundi Basavanna will release the brochure. Maraiahanahundi Taluk Panchayat Member Mahadev and D.M.G. Halli Gram Panchayat President Siddappa will distribute prizes.
