In order to encourage fish services locally and to market fresh fish and fish products, autorickshaws will be provided to fishermen and women on lease basis under Matsya Vahini scheme. Interested may apply before Mar. 25. Selected applicants will be provided with the three-wheeler on Rs. 3,000 monthly rent along with Rs. 1 lakh (General Category) refundable deposit to the Department. The deposit amount will be Rs. 50,000 for SC/ST and women beneficiaries. For details, contact Zilla Panchayat’s Fisheries Dy. Director’s Office and Taluk Fisheries Assistant Director’s Office, according to a press release from Deputy Director of Fisheries.
