For all beneficiaries of social security schemes in Mysuru district including those availing widow pension, disability pension, Sandhya Suraksha Scheme, Maitri Scheme, Manaswini Scheme, Senior Citizens Pension Scheme and others, as per the guidelines issued by the Central Government, it is mandatory to submit their Aadhaar number and bank account details to enable direct transfer of benefits. Out of 3,55,879 beneficiaries in the district, 3,16,153 beneficiaries have already furnished their details and the pension is being debited as per schedule. Out of 3,16,153 beneficiaries, pension payment has been temporarily withheld for 22,424 beneficiaries of Mysuru city for not providing necessary details. Such beneficiaries, in case of change in residential address or change in bank accounts due to merger of few banks, have been requested to provide their Aadhaar number and bank account details to the Taluk Office at the earliest, according to a press release from Deputy Commissioner Rohini Sindhuri.
