Appointed as Dasara Wrestling Competition Director

Mysuru: As part of Dasara festivities, a State-level Dasara wrestling contest will be held in city from Oct.10 to 15. In order to hold the contest in a systematic and transparent manner, the Karnataka Olympic Association (KOA) and Karnataka Wrestling Association (KWA), have appointed Prof. K.R. Rangaiah as Competition Director. Prof Rangaiah is currently serving as the Working President of KWA and had earlier served as Chairman of Dasara Wrestling Sub-Committee twice. To promote wrestling contests, he started ‘Maralibaa Garadige’. A former Political Science Department faculty at D. Banumaiah Arts and Commerce College in city, he is the current Hon. Secretary of K.G. Koppal Maruleshwara Dharmadarshi Trust.
