The Backward Classes Welfare Department has invited online applications from professionals, Post-Graduate, Nursing, Engineering and Medical students (boys and girls) for admission to hostels run by the Department in city. The annual income of parents of students belonging to SC/ST and Category-1 communities should not exceed Rs. 2.50 lakh and that of parents of students from Category-2A, 2B, 3A, 3B and Other Backward Class (OBC) should not exceed Rs. 1 lakh. Interested students can apply via: www.backwardclasses.kar.nic.in before Aug.20. In case of any technical problem while applying, the students can also e-mail their applications along with necessary documents to: bcwd.hostels@karnataka.gov.in
