The State-level ‘Krishi Pandita’ Award for the year 2023-24 will be presented to farmers who have excelled in Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Fishery, Sericulture and Forestry and applications have been invited from eligible farmers for the same. Among the selected farmers, top three farmers will be awarded Rs. 1,25,000, Rs. 1,00,000 and Rs. 75,000 respectively, 10 other farmers will be chosen for ‘Krishi Pandita Udayonmukha’ and awarded Rs. 50,000 each. Eligible interested farmers including women farmers may obtain prescribed application form from the Office of the Taluk Assistant Director of Agriculture and submit the filled-in forms before July 24, according to a press release from the Mysuru District Joint Director of Agriculture.
