Mysuru: The Department of Women and Child Welfare has invited applications from children aged between 6 and 18 years for presentation of Hoysala Award for boys and Keladi Chennamma Award (2019-20) for girls, who have exhibited courage in saving lives of others in distress. The award carries a cash prize of Rs. 10,000 and a citation. The incident should have happened between August-2018 and July-2019. The spiral bound documents consisting of the First Information Report (FIR) of the Police as proof of gallantry along with two attested passport size photographs, duly attested birth certificate and Xerox copies of newspapers featuring the story of the same along with the application should be submitted before Sept.2 at the Department Office, Vijayanagar 2nd Stage, Mysuru. .
