Applications invited to provide foster care for children

There is a provision under Section 44 of Juvenile Justice Act 2015 to provide temporary foster care while living in a family set up to those children with single parent or orphan and those who have been deprived of family care and are housed at Government Balamandiras and Voluntary Organisations. Hence, families willing to provide such foster care, may obtain the prescribed application forms from the District Child Protection Unit and apply.

Also, parents, who are suffering from deadly diseases and are unable to take care of their children, may contact Child Welfare Committee and District Children Protection Unit for rehabilitation of such children who too will be considered for foster care, according to a press release from Dr. S. Divakar, District Child Protection Officer, District Children Protection Unit.
