Mysuru: The Department of Tourism has invited applications from SC/ST candidates for distribution of subsidy amount for purchase of tourist taxis. Government will provide Rs. 3 lakh subsidy amount for purchase of a taxi to each candidate. It will provide subsidy for 17 Scheduled Caste and 8 Scheduled Tribe beneficiaries this year. Persons in the age group of 20 to 40 years may apply.
Those who have passed SSLC, owns LMV Driving License and badges issued for driving commercial vehicles by Road Transport Department besides 1-year experience in driving after obtaining the license may apply.
