Mysuru: The Union Government has invited applications from eligible candidates who have rendered service in the fields of Child Development, Child Protection and Child Welfare for over 10 years for the Rajiv Gandhi Manav Seva Award-2018. Three persons will be selected for the award which carries a cash prize of Rs. 1 lakh, a silver medal and a citation. People working in organisations on remuneration are not eligible for this award. Award for individuals and organisations The Union Government also intends to confer award on three individuals and five organisations for rendering exemplary service in Child Welfare for several years. The award for an individual carries a cash prize of Rs. 1 lakh and Rs. 3 lakh for an organisation along with a citation. The application in duplicate filled in English should be submitted to the above address before June 20. The Committee constituted by the State Government will scrutinise the applications and recommend the suitable candidate for the award. The applicants should also send an authentication letter from the local Police confirming registration of no cases against them.
