The Mysuru District Administration, in association with District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Labour Department, District Child Labour Planning Society, Department of Public Instruction, Women and Child Development Department, Police Department, Social Welfare Department and Voluntary Organisations, will be observing World Day Against Child Labour (Anti-Child Labour Day) at Kalamandira on Hunsur road in city on June 12 at 10 am.

Principal District and Sessions Court Judge G.S. Sangreshi will inaugurate the programme, while Deputy Commissioner Dr. K.V. Rajendra, who is also the Chairman of District Child Labour Planning Society, will preside. Senior Civil Judge B.G. Dinesh, City Police Commissioner Ramesh Banoth, MCC Commissioner G. Lakshmikantha Reddy, SP Seema Latkar, ZP CEO K.M. Gayathri, Additional DC KavithaRajaram and MUDA Commissioner G.T. Dinesh Kumar will be present. Prior to the programme, a rally of school children will be taken out from Oval Grounds to Kalamandira at 9 am, in which hundreds of children will take part, according to a press release from Assistant Labour Commissioner Nazia Sultana, who is also the Member-Secretary of District Child Labour Planning Society.
