The two-day annual sports and cultural meet for the State Government employees will be held at the Chamundi Vihar Stadium on Jan. 3 and Jan. 4. The Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports (DYES) has organised sports events and cultural events at Chamundi Vihar Stadium, Sports Pavilion, UoM, Rotary West, Mysuru, Mysore Tennis Club, State Government Employees Association Premises and Maharaja College Grounds. Sports events organised for the government employees include: Hockey, Badminton, Wrestling, Kabaddi, Volleyball, Basketball, Athletics, Tennikoit, Weightlifting, Power Lifting, Chess, Throwball, Best Physique, Handicraft Exhibition, Carom, Swimming, Football, Table Tennis, Lawn Tennis, Bridge and Cricket. There are also cultural events such as Folk song, Folk dance, Karnatak music, Hindustani music, One Act Plays, Bharatanatyam and others.
