Annual Sports Day of Gonikoppal Cauvery College

The Annual Sports Day and prize distribution ceremony of Cauvery College, Gonikoppal, will be held on Jan.31 from 10.30 am onwards at its premises here. Jammada Joyappa, of Karate International, Gonikoppal and Maneyapanda Dechamma, Member, Virajpet Town Panchayat, both alumni of the College, will be the chief guests. K.P. Bopanna, Director, Cauvery Education Society and S.S. Madaiah, Principal of Cauvery PU College, Gonikoppal, will be the guests of honour. Prof. P.A. Povanna, Principal of Cauvery College, Gonikoppal, will preside. Valedictory of Students Welfare Association The valedictory of the Students Welfare Association will be held on Feb.3 at 10.30 am at the College premises here. Virajpet MLA K.G. Bopaiah and District Governor (RI-Dist. 3181) Rtn. M.M. Suresh Chengappa will be the chief guests. C.B. Devaiah, Vice-President, Cauvery Education Society and K.G. Uthappa, Hon. Secretary, Cauvery Education Society, will be the guests of honour. Dr. M.P. Rekha (Kodava literature), G. Pavithra (1st rank in MA Economics from Mangalore University) and V. Amruthavarshini (District topper in PUC-Commerce) will be felicitated on the occasion.
