Kolkata: Big hitter Andre Russell's 17-ball-48-run and grabbing two wickets, including that of Chris Gayle (20), powered Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) to register their second successive win in IPL-2019 when the host defeated the visiting Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) by 28 runs at Eden Gardens last night.
After being sent to bat first KKR scored 218/4, thanks to Robin Uthappa (67 not out from 50-ball), Nitish Rana's 63 from 34-ball and Sunil Narine quickfire 24 from 9-ball, and then restricted Punjab to 190/4 in 20 overs. Andre Russell took 2/21. His another victim was Sarfaraz Khan (13).
