All India U-15 FIDE Rated Chess Tourney in city from Nov.21

The Mysore Chess Club, under the aegis of the United Karnataka Chess Association and the All India Chess Federation, will be conducting the All India U-15 FIDE Rated Open Chess Tournament-2018, from Nov.21 to 25 at the University Gymnasium Hall in city. The event carries a total cash prize of Rs.2,50,000. Five trophies each will be given in the U-13, U-11, U-9 and U-7 (boys & girls) sections. Best youngest players (U-6) boys and girls will be given five trophies each. The winner of the Tournament will take home a cash prize of Rs.40,000 while the runner-up and third prize winners will take home a cash prize of Rs.25,000 & Rs.15,000 respectively. The top 30 players in the open section will get cash prizes. Five cash prizes will be given in the following categories: Rating below 2,000, below 1,800, below 1,600, below 1,400 and below 1,200. Entry fee: Rs.1,250. Last date for registration is Nov.15. Last date with late fee of Rs.250 is Nov.19. Players born on or after 1.1.2003 are eligible to participate.
