Chennai: In a shocking incident, a 32-year-old woman DMK supporter chopped her part of a tongue at a Goddess Mariamman temple to fulfil her vow taken for the victory of the DMK in the April 6 Assembly elections.
After the DMK's victory, the woman, Vanitha, went to the temple, but it was closed. Suddenly, she chopped off her part of the tongue in front of temple and offered it to the deity, reports received here said.
