Mysuru: Former Deputy Prime Minister L.K. Advani inaugurated the 3D Mapping projection on the 45-feet tall Karya Siddha Hanuman statue at Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Ashrama here last evening in the presence of Avadhoota Datta Peetham Seer Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji and Sri Datta Vijayananda Teertha Swamiji. With this, it became the first idol in the world to be worshipped through sophisticated technology. Advani witnessed the rituals performed as per “Hanuman Chalisa” shlokas written by Saint Tulsidas. The worship, played through state-of-the-art technology included Abhisheka, Deepaalankaara, Tulsi and flower Swarnabhisheka for over eight minutes. Speaking after inaugurating the 3D Mapping Projection, Advani said, “Hindu religion is a very secular religion. No other religion in the world has this uniqueness. The Santana Hindu Dharma has the quality of embracing all religions. Also, it imbibes the good quality of other religions. Tolerance is the other meaning of Hindutva and people of all caste, religion and creed are equal.” He lauded the efforts of the Datta Peetham for installing the 45 feet Hanuman statue and adopting modern technology to spread the message of Hindu religion. Science must be used for religious purposes, he advised.
