Mysuru: There is a need to come out with measures to ensure the campaign launched against the single use of plastic is a success, said Mysuru-Kodagu MP Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar here yesterday.
Speaking after launching the cleanliness drive ‘Clean Mysuru - Safe Mysuru,’ jointly organised by Samagama Welfare Foundation, Vijayanagar Fourth Stage Residents Welfare Association, Senior Citizens Association and Vijaya Vinayaka Sangha as part of World Health Day celebrations near Marimallappa's School in Vijayanagar Fourth Stage, he said that segregation of plastic waste had emerged as a major issue in the country and the only way to counter it was to stop single use plastic and to change the method of waste segregation.
