The Social Welfare Department has invited applications from eligible students of SC community for admission to sixth standard in prestigious private schools of the district. The admission will be based on a written test to be conducted by DIET. The selected students will be admitted in Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Vijayanagar, Good Shepherd School in Lashkar Mohalla, Avila Convent on Krishnavilas Road, Shastri Charitable Trust on Hunsur Bypass Road, St. Joseph’s School in Hunsur, Christ School at Tandavapura, Jagadguru Balagangadharanatha Swamiji Balajagat School at Chunchanakatte in K.R. Nagar taluk and SVEI School in Vijayanagar 4th stage in city. Interested students can collect the prescribed application forms at the Department Office in their respective taluk and submit the same along with the required documents at the Office of the Joint Director, Social Welfare Department, before May 25, according to a press release.
