Mysuru: The ‘heliride’ was inaugurated yesterday at the Lalitha Mahal Helipad by MLA Somashekar. Many are eager to fly in the helicopter to view the beautiful city from the skies. But, there is a flip side to this, which cries for everyone’s attention.
Last year around during Dasara time, a tragedy unfolded, when a 13-year-old girl who was viewing a helicopter flying above her house lost her right hand due to electric shock. The victim Meghana lost her arm in a freak accident and it had to be amputated three inches from above her elbow.
