Mysuru: The Centre has already made Aadhaar mandatory for getting PAN and filing Income Tax returns, besides making it compulsory for reaping the benefit of many other government schemes. It has also planned to introduce Aadhaar authentication a must in real estate deals.
The aim is to curb use of black money in property dealings and also come down heavily on benami transactions. Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) has also decided to follow the transparent method in order to curb violations by the site aspirants. As a first step, the site aspirants of Lalithadrinagar and R.T. Nagar must link their applications to Aadhaar cards and if it is not done, their applications will not be considered.
