The Social Welfare Department has asked SC students who have not been sanctioned pre-matric scholarship to open an account at the Post Office (Indian Postal Payment Bank) and link it with Aadhaar card in order to get scholarship. The scholarship money will be credited directly to the account. Students of less than 10 years of age are required to open account at Ittigegud Post Office, while those above 10 years can open account at their nearest Post Office, according to a press release. .
