GM Deepan Chakravrathy (TN) with 7.5 points from eight rounds clinched the title in the 9th BRDCA International Open FIDE Rating Chess Championship which concluded in Bengaluru yesterday. S.S. Manigandan (TN) with 7 points (Tie-break score of 39.5) finished second while N. Sanjay (KAR) with 7 points (tie-break score of 39) finished third. B. Sekar (TN) with 6.5 points (Tie-break score of 42) secured the fourth place while A. Balkishan of Karnataka with 6.5 points (Tie-break score of 40.5) secured the fifth place. Mysuru lad A. Augustin (SJCE) secured 6 points and finished 10th in the final ranking. V.P.S Darshan of Mysuru secured 5 points and finished 50th in the final placing. L. Viveknanda with 5 points secured the 49th place.
