Belagavi: Municipal Administration Minister Eshwar Khandre has said that the services of one 6,000 Pourakarmikas serving in Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) will be regularised by the end of January, 2018. Replying to a question by H.S. Shivashankar of the JD(S) in the Legislative Assembly here on Tuesday, Khandre said that the primary notification for regularisation has already been notified and objections have been invited. The final notification is likely to be notified in a week, he said and added that the Pourakarmikas will be extended all statutory benefits. The Minister, however, said that there was no proposal before the Government on regularisation of ‘D Group’ employees serving in ULBs.
