Social Welfare Department presents 'Pratibha Puraskar' to hostelites
Mysore/Mysuru: Highlighting that the population of women in the country is nearly equal to that of men, Dr. Krishnamurthy Chamaram, a faculty member at KSOU, advocated for a 50 percent reservation for women. He expressed this view during his recent address at the inauguration of 'Pratibha Puraskar' Presentation Ceremony and Seminar organised by Social Welfare Department at the Post-Matric Girls’ Hostel-2 in Bogadi. Dr. Krishnamurthy Chamaram pointed out that women make up approximately 50 percent of the total Indian population of 140 crore.
