Mysore/Mysuru: The deployment of 481 KSRTC buses for election duty has caused inconvenience to the public. Commuters have been waiting for hours at bus stops for buses to arrive, despite assurances from KSRTC officials that public transport would not be affected.
The scarcity of buses heading to places like Hassan, Madikeri, K.R. Nagar and Periyapatna has left rural Mysuru residents depending on KSRTC transportation stranded. In response to the situation, KSRTC has provided additional city buses for passengers travelling to destinations such as Bengaluru, Malavalli and Mandya. According to KSRTC officials, buses were deployed as per the requirement.
