Laxman (ICF) share the lead with 6 points each. K. Gunasekaran (ICF) and S. Bartakke Amardeep (MAH) are placed fourth and fifth with 5.5 points. Earlier in the fifth round, Girish A. Koushik was held to a draw by P. Jagadish. Another Mysuru player V.P.S. Darshan has secured 4.5 points is placed 55th in the ranking.
