32nd national u-9 girls chess:

Former National U-8 girls champion, A.N. Shefali from Mandya, representing Karnataka in the 32nd National U-9 Girls Chess Championship-2018 at Ranchi recently, secured sixth place with 8.5 points from 9 rounds. Sneha Halder (WB-9 points) won the title, while WCM Suhaani Lohia (Mah-9 points) finished runner-up. Indira Priyadarshini Subbu (TN-8.5 points) secured the third place. Tanishka Jain and Yashika Joshi from Mysuru fared well by securing 4.5 points from nine rounds. In the U-9 Open section, A.R. Illamparathi (TN) won the title with 10 points from 11 rounds. Mayank Chakraborty (Assam-9 points) secured second place with 9 points, followed by Bharadia Yash (Rajasthan-                                  9 points). Mysuru lads S. Vishwajit (7 points) and N.C. Gambhir (6 points) fared well in the Championship.
