Inspired by the late actor Puneeth Rajkumar, whose eyes were donated and transplanted to four persons recently, more than 2,500 people have pledged to donate their eyes on behalf of the Federation of Organisations and Associations of Mysuru, said its President B.S. Prashanth. About 50 members from each of the 50 Associations coming under the Federation, totalling to 2,500 persons, have come forward to pledge their eyes for a cause, he said. All the filled-in applications would be submitted together at the K.R Hospital Eye Bank soon, he said and called upon other organisations to join in this noble cause of gifting a sight.
