Bengaluru: The State Cabinet yesterday gave its approval for the development of roads in and around Bengaluru and at district headquarters to ease traffic congestion. Along with this, it has also constituted an Empowered Committee for development of Ring Roads around 25 cities, mainly district headquarters, under the Town Planning Scheme.
Briefing reporters after the meeting, Law MinisterT. B. Jayachandra said that the roads will be developed by the Karnataka Road Development Corporation Ltd. (KRDCL) at an estimated cost of Rs. 2,095 crore.
