2018 Assembly Polls: JD(S) to release first list of candidates on Dec. 15

Ramanagaram: State JD(S) President and former Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy has said that the first list of the party candidates for the 2018 Assembly polls will be released on Dec.15. Speaking to press persons here on Tuesday, Kumaraswamy said that he was holding meetings with party leaders in Constituencies where there were multiple aspirants. An unanimous choice of the party candidate in such constituencies will be made after consulting all local party leaders, he added. Replying to a question on his wife Anitha Kumaraswamy contesting the Assembly polls, he said that no decision has been taken as yet on Anitha Kumaraswamy’s contest and added that he has asked the Channapatna Unit to choose a local candidate for the polls. Lashing out at the Congress and BJP for resorting to petty politics, the former CM alleged that the Congress and BJP are involved in dividing the society in the name of Hanuma Jayanti celebrations.
