Mysuru's veteran's Table Tennis player K.V. Krishnamurthy, taking part in the 10th L.M. Inamdar Veterans State Ranking Table Tennis Tournament-2017 held at Malleshwaram Association, Bengaluru, won the 70 plus men's singles title. In the final, K.V. Krishnamurthy beat K. Sathyanarayana (Bng) 6-11, 4-11, 12-10, 12-10, 11-7. Earlier in the semi-finals, Krishnamurthy registered a well-earned win over S. Gopalan (CU) 11-4, 11-4, 1-11, 11-7. Mysuru's Dr. Sainath Iyer finished runner-up in men's 70 plus singles event. K.A. Udhayshankar (Bng) beat Dr. Sainath 11-9, 12-10, 12-10 to win the title. In the semi-finals, Dr.Sainath Iyer beat G.Y. Prabhakar (Bng) 11-8, 11-5, 11-4 to sail into the title round. In the men's 65 plus category, Mysuru's Gururaj lost to Udhayshankar Rao in the semi-finals 11-4, 8-11, 7-11, 9-11.
