Mysuru: The 10-day Research Methodology Course, sponsored by Indian Council for Social Science Research (ICSSR) and organised by the Department of Studies in Anthropology, University of Mysore (UoM), was inaugurated on Monday at the UoM premises.
UoM Acting Vice-Chancellor Prof. Aisha M. Sheriff, speaking after inaugurating the course for M.Phil, Ph.D and PDF (Post Doctoral Fellows) Scholars in Social Sciences, said that the study of different communities through different angles is done in Social Sciences. Hence, one can understand the culture of their communities and countries. One can also understand the human nature and his past and present behaviour and this study will help us give a meaning to our lives. Anthropology will help make the study of human development, culture and social life and its impact easy, she added.
